Coaches no longer on outside looking in - they wanted in the LWP system.
We're grateful to our dedicated staff of the past two seasons with this young team, but we're equally excited to act upon changes as put into motion as early as May 2011. We offered an existing 11U manager a role within the organization along with three or four players moves as expected and desired. This recruitment concluded with a friend of the program staying put and continuing to play up at 12U for 2012. We repect that, and agree with that. Coach O'Brien, Coach Cech and Coach Korbel were pleased to bring on Coach Jon Horvath, who had managed the Romeoville Spartans for several years, and Coach Jim Patock, who was a base coach for the New Lenox Rebels Red team for a couple of years. We happy to have the bolster our coaching staff with their knowledge and experience in competitive youth baseball.

Back-to-Back banner years for this team allows awesome changes!
What a great 2011 season, despite off-season non-baseball injuries to the team and a limited roster in April. The team went on to take the #1 seed at the CABA World Series, and played great. The Prospects' put the focus back on the player and on competitive travel baseball during the middle of the season which afforded an opportunity for change - and welcome change at that. A well-balanced team begins with more than just players - and we thank our great volunteers for serving the team well. All players released or moving on were easily placed on other teams, a great testimonial to the skill sets and development since 9U in our program. Congratulations to the players that made cuts from 23 2012 11U candidates, we're excited to have you improve our team.

Playing up and continue the challenge
We're looking to play an even tough schedule than the first two years that lead our area in competitive travel baseball play. We had a great mix of challenges in 2011, and some fun along the way, too. We will play up again versus some 12U competition along with our normal 11U schedule and tournaments.

Passing on non-role players
With a late player/family release due to several ongoing issues we will address and a player change in August from the declared roster, we have decided to stay at ten players for 2012. With delayed decisions this off-season, the team was too late acquiring one of three players from 19 cuts that wanted to join the team during workouts and tryouts. These players had to commit to other teams in belief they had not made the Prospects. We have already expressed interest in them for possible World Series play, and for the 2013 Cooperstown season. As a result, we will entertain through February a private tryout for a pitcher/infielder possessing a contact bat, good family values and supportive tendencies for a team environment.
